FAQs
What is the warranty on Maxxis trailer tires?
Answer:
Maxxis trailer tires are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship to the original owner/consumer, within four years of the purchase date and minimum 2/32” of tread remaining on the tire.
What causes a trailer tire blow out?
Answer:
Heat causes excessive tire wear and blowouts. The majority of blowouts are due to running the tire with low air pressure, creating excessive heat and causing the tire sidewall to rupture. The leading cause for low tire pressure is a puncture resulting in a slow air leak. Unlike an under-inflated tire on your car, an under-inflated trailer tire is difficult to detect.
Can I put larger tires on my trailer?
Answer:
Maxxis recommends consulting your trailer manufacturer for the answer to this question. The trailer manufacturer can give you specific information regarding tire sizes and load capacities.
Can I go up in load capacity?
Answer:
Yes. It will not harm your trailer to go from a lower to higher load rating, but you should never go from a higher to lower load rating.
