FAQs
What type of maintenance should I perform on my vehicle’s tires?
Answer:
The most important maintenance function you can perform on your motorcycle or all-terrain vehicle is frequent check of tire pressures. Under-inflated tires will result in a variety of problems including premature wear, poor handling, fatigue, or sidewall cracking. It is also a good idea to routinely make visual inspections of your tires, being sure to check for foreign objects located in the tread surface or sidewall.
What ply rating are my motorcycle tires?
Answer:
Motorcycle tires are not currently measured in units of "ply rating." At this time, the industry follows a particular load/speed rating. On the sidewall of your tire, you will notice a three digit code that refers to the load and speed rating of a tire. For example: "74H" 74 = load rating of 827 lbs, H = maximum speed rating of 130 MPH. Please refer to our load/speed rating chart for a more complete list of measurements.
