Borich Takes 2nd Straight GNCC Championship

10/04/2010

Maxxis rider Chris Borich has successfully defended his GNCC ATV championship, clinching the 2010 title at Round 12, the GNCC Power Line Park. The race was held October 9 in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Borich took the holeshot on his Razrs, but later had to come from behind for the win. “Everything worked out good,” he said. “I got the holeshot, and the tires were good all day. It went from blue groove to slick and had some really nasty muddy spots, and the tires worked awesome.”

Borich, who has racked up a total of 346 points to date in XC1 Pro, gained an insurmountable 55-point lead with his Round 12 win. He has taken 10 victories out of 12 races. Fellow Maxxis rider Taylor Kiser holds second place in the series’ overall standings, with 291 points, while Donald Ockerman is fifth. The last event of the 2010 season, the Ironman, is scheduled for October 23-24 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich on his championship and thanks all of its riders for their outstanding performances.
