Borich Wins GNCC Ironman ATV
10/25/2010The championship has been his for weeks, but Chris Borich put the icing on the cake with a victory in the final round of the GNCC season. Borich took the win at Round 13, the Ironman, held October 23 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Borich held the lead throughout the race, from the holeshot to the finish line. He finished the season with 376 points in XC1 Pro, a 67-point lead. Fellow Razr rider Taylor Kiser took second place for the season in XC1 Pro and fourth place for the day, while Donnie Ockerman grabbed fifth place for the year with his eighth place at the Ironman. And in a welcome surprise to his many fans, Bill Ballance returned to GNCC racing with sixth place for the day. Ballance had been sidelined by injury for much of the season.
Maxxis rider Walker Fowler ended the season with a win and finished second in XC2 Pro Am points. Team Rath took second place overall in UTV.
