Demuth Wins 2nd Night of AMA Arenacross Round 6
2/16/2010Besting the most competitive slate of riders so far this season, Team Babbitt’s Josh Demuth won the second night of AMA Arenacross Round 6. The race was held February 13 in Youngstown, Ohio.
Teammate Chad Johnson grabbed the holeshot and an early lead, while Demuth made steady progress toward the front position. The victory was Demuth’s second of the season; Johnson took fourth place and fellow Babbitt’s rider Tyler Bowers grabbed the eighth place spot. Demuth also made the podium a day earlier, taking second place on the round’s first night. Team manager Denny Bartz took the team’s latest win in stride: “Just another great weekend of racing. We keep getting on the box thanks to Maxxcross tires, heading toward another championship."
Babbitt’s riders continue to dominate the series’ overall top three. Bowers holds a 15-point lead for first place, while Demuth is second and Johnson third.
