Maxxis 1-2 at ATV MX Birch Creek
5/04/2010
Maxxis’ riders took the top two spots this weekend at the third round of the ATV Motocross Championship Series. Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider Josh Creamer earned his second straight overall victory, while teammate Dustin Wimmer, who won the season’s first race, grabbed second place overall. The event was held May 1-2 at Birch Creek in Danville, Virginia.
Both riders chose the yellow-label Razr MX rear and Razr Cross front tire combination for the day, and they put in consistent performances: Wimmer took the win in the first moto, with Creamer coming in a close second. In Moto 2, Creamer traded the lead with three other riders until the final four laps, when he grabbed the front position and held it for good. Wimmer took fifth in Moto 2 after losing his seat early in the race.
Creamer and Wimmer hold the top two spots in the series’ points standings, separated by just two points. Another rider on Maxxis’ Razrs, Jeremy Lawson of Walsh Race Craft, took fifth place at Birch Creek.
Maxxis congratulates Josh Creamer and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
