Maxxis Sponsors 2007 Eastern Division XRRA Champ Rusty Bray

4/14/2008

Continuing a winning partnership, Maxxis has announced that it will sponsor defending Maxxis Xtreme Rock Racing Association Eastern Division champion Rusty Bray in 2008.

Bray took the 2007 Maxxis XRRA title after a series of strong performances, riding both Trepadors and Creepy Crawlers in his quest for the championship. Bray’s win is even more impressive in light of the fact that 2007 was the first year in rock racing for the veteran rock crawler.

Bray has high praise for Maxxis and its products. “We are extremely excited about our 2008 season with Maxxis as our partner,” said Bray.  “We feel the 40" Creepy Crawler will keep us on the podium all season with its championship-winning tread design and durability. We’ve now competed in 11 grueling events on some of the most extreme terrain in the country and have never had a failure from our tires. Our team also runs the 37" Trepador on the rock crawler for the W.E.ROCK series, and it has also performed flawlessly all year. Bray Motorsports attributes its success to a great product backed by world class support on and off the track. It’s going to be an exciting year, and with Maxxis, we can't lose!”

Brad Williams of Maxxis’ automotive department is also pleased by the ongoing partnership. “Rusty set the bar pretty high by winning a championship his first year with us. With his talent, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him repeat in 2008.  He is a great asset to our off-road program, and we’re looking forward to working with him again this year,” said Williams.
