Maxxis Takes 5 of Top 10 at GNCC Unadilla
9/13/2010Chris Borich took the victory on a day when Maxxis’ riders nailed five spots in the GNCC ATV XC1 Pro top ten. Round 10 of the series was held September 11 in New Berlin, New York.
After a close contest for most of the race, Borich took the lead in the last lap and held on for the win. Taylor Kiser took second place for the day, with Donald Ockerman in fifth place, Brandon Sommers in seventh and Patrick Brown in eighth. All five riders trusted Maxxis’ Razrs to take them to the top ten.
Borich said conditions at Unadilla were perfect. “It did end up getting slick,” he said, “but I can’t say enough about the tires. They hooked up everywhere, even on the steep, slick uphills.”
With his eighth win of the year, Borich holds a commanding 45-point lead in the race for the championship. Kiser is second overall, while Ockerman is fourth and Sommers is eighth.
In the XC2 Pro Lites class, Walker Fowler took a spot on the podium with a second place finish. With 211 points, Fowler is just 15 points away from the overall XC2 lead.
Daryl Rath took third place in the 4x4 Open class.
Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich on his latest victory and thanks all of these riders for their fine performances.
