Prochnau 2nd at Maxxis Endurocross Round 3
9/17/2008Round 3 of the 2008 Maxxis Endurocross thrilled a capacity crowd in Florence, South Carolina, as thousands watched some of the sport’s best compete on a brutal course. Maxxis’ sponsored rider Bobby Prochnau took second place in the main event, riding Maxxcross in an outstanding performance.
Other Maxxis riders also did well at this grueling race, which featured obstacles including rocks, sand, boulders and a water hole. Jamie Lanza took sixth place, Stephen Edmondson nabbed the eighth place spot, and Wally Palmer rounded out the top ten. Team Geico’s JT Bennett, Ryan and Eric Rodgers, and Josh McLevy turned in fine performances, with victories for Eric Rodgers in the 2-Stroke open main event and the Dash for Cash, and top-six spots for Ryan Rodgers, Bennett and McLevy in the 2-Stroke.
Mark Wilson, manager of Maxxis’ specialty department, was pleased with the results: “With four of the twelve riders having Maxxis-mounted tires on the main event’s start line, we knew it was going to be a good night for Maxxis. And it was.”
The series’ next race is scheduled for September 27 in Denver, Colorado. Maxxis is proud to present the 2008 Maxxis Endurocross and thanks Bobby Prochnau and all of these riders for their outstanding performances.
