RPM on WORCS and Canadian Enduro Podiums
8/10/2009The members of the RPM Racing Team have racked up victories and podiums at major series in recent weeks. Brenden Ritzman took second place at WORCS’ Round 8, while Bobby Prochnau won four straight Canadian Enduro Championship races. Maria Forsberg won the Women Pro/AA class at WORCS’ Rounds 7 and 8. The WORCS races were held August 1-2 and 7-9 in Olympia, Washington.
Ritzman, who held the lead at Round 8 for nearly an hour, crossed the finish line less than three seconds after the first place rider. His performance pushed him into the overall top ten: With 78 points, he’s ranked ninth in the chase for the championship. Ritzman is also second in AMA Western Hare Scrambles points.
With four races left in the season, Prochnau reigns undefeated over the E2 Pro class in the Canadian Enduro Championship. Less than two weeks after his latest Canadian win, he went on to win the night race at Round 1 of the AMA Endurocross, held July 25 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Her recovery from an injured elbow complete, Forsberg finished first in both WORCS races held since her return to competition. An internationally renowned racer, Forsberg has again been invited to compete in the International Six Days Enduro, scheduled for October 12-17 in Portugal. She took an individual second place overall in the Women’s World Cup at last year’s ISDE.
Maxxis congratulates Brenden Ritzman, Bobby Prochnau and Maria Forsberg and wishes them the best in their upcoming races.
