Team Babbitt’s is Dominating the AMA Arenacross Series
1/23/2012Team Babbitt’s presented by Maxxis is riding high in the AMA Arenacross series. Most recently, Tyler Bowers took wins in Rounds 10 and 12, while Chad Johnson topped the podium in Round 11. Rounds 10 and 11 were held January 13-14 in Topeka, Kansas, and Round 12 was held January 21 in Dayton, Ohio.
Bowers has moved back into the series’ points lead with his eighth main event win at Round 12. He maintained second place until the 12th of the race’s 25 laps, when he took over the front spot and held it for the rest of the race. “The track was super rutty and soft,” he said. “Patience and consistency was key. Of course, my Maxxis tires helped get me to the win by adapting to the track that changed every lap of the race.”
Johnson sits comfortably in third place in the series’ standings, with two main event wins to his credit. Just 27 points behind another rider in second place, he will be gunning to take over that spot during the remaining seven rounds of racing.
