Wade Wins Hardest Trick at Metro BMX Jam
9/19/2008Morgan Wade’s wild barrel roll transfer won him the Hardest Trick prize at the 2008 Metro BMX Jam, held August 30-31 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Wade took second place in the main event, with a score of 95.0.
Wade’s amazing tricks didn’t stop with the barrel roll transfer: According to metrobmxjam.com, his whip to fufanu on the subrail and a whip to icepick on the large fence were among the highlights of the event for fans.
"Metro was awesome this year, and in my opinion, a breath of fresh air to BMX,” said Wade. “Everyone was riding really well, and a lot of amazing stunts went down. I was having a rough time with my last trick, so I told Josh Harrington if I pulled it in the next two attempts I'd try to flip the big hip. Go figure, I pulled it the very next try! It's a good thing I had that Grifter on when I did the flip transfer, because I came in really sideways and used every bit of that traction. I pulled that flip on my first try, and it landed me best trick. It was a great weekend.”
Maxxis congratulates Morgan Wade on his outstanding performance and thanks him for choosing the brand of champions.
